The Addams Family character.
Daughter of Gomez Addams and Morticia Addams, and generally the older sister to Pugsley Addams. In earlier continuities, she was somewhat cruel (especially to Puglsey), but mostly a cheerful and sweet little girl, but around the time of the 1990s film continuity her personality was canonized as a dour, cynical goth.
This Wednesday has since become an icon for the goth community, and is the version that influenced the later Wednesday characterization of her.
